Kate Winslet’s Feathery Statement

Kate Winslet receives the prestigious award CBE from Queen Elizabeth II

One of my favorites in fashion and style has been the famous Titanic actress, Kate Winslet, who’s not only been known for her remarkable acting but also for her wonderful taste in wardrobe.

In an invitation by Queen Elizabeth II, Kate received her CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire), for services to drama on November 21, 2012 at Buckingham Palace in London. As she received her award, she wore a black skirt suit by Alexander McQueen accessorized with a unique, stylish black and white feather hat. With elegance, Kate wore a simple but classy black suit (which I loved) but what brought a distinctive look to the whole set of wardrobe was the feather-like hat created by actress milliner Natalie Ellner. The accessory was made just for Kate and inspired by magpies.

I personally am not a big fan of headwear but this hat surely brings a big interest to purchase. It’s a very classic look which I love! Ready to dress for success…
