Film: Les Miserables this Christmas

An amazing combination of storytelling and music in this new film Les Miserables with a powerful cast Hugh Jackman(Wolverine-Xmen), Russell Crowe (The Gladiator), Anne Hathaway (Cat Woman-The Dark Night Rises), Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia), and Helena Bonham Carter (Mrs. Lovett-Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street). Watching films is one of my favorite hobbies where I learn from them whether its a story about someone’s life or about the magic of photography or ways to keep the audience in suspense. There is more to seeing a film on the screen. I am a very analytical individual who enjoys more than a sound or a picture. This is an opportunity to discover more about filmography and its remarkable creativity it involves in the cinema industry.

In this case, Les Miserables is one film who promises more than an ordinary movie. It’s a musical with “an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption—a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.” I love musicals especially when they provide a strong, adventurous storytelling keeping my attention till the end. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole.  When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever. Watching this new trailer definitely brings excitement to my life this holiday season. I’m ready to go to the movies this Christmas! Check out the trailer and tell me if I’m right…
