Jenni Rivera, “La Diva de las Bandas”, has been involved in a plane crash this weekend. The Mexican-American singer along with 6 other passengers her publicist, Arturo Rivera; her stylist Jorge Sanchez; her makeup artist Jacobo Llenares; her attorney Mario Macias; and the plane’s pilots. They have been declared death at the scene of a plane crash at Ejido La Colorada, Municipality of Nuevo Leon in Mexico by Mexican Officials. It has been confirmed they’d found the remains of the aircraft, and there are no signs of survivors. In disbelief, many of her followers and fans just like me are still in shock and cry for her disappearance.
This morning as I finalized the Posada at our house I began to pray before I closed my eyes to sleep. It was about 3:00 – 3:30am, when I began to thank God for letting me lived these valuable moments with family and friends. Not knowing that Jenni and her team were in an accident at the same time. Jenni leaves a pain in our hurts for her absence but a legacy we will all continue to love.
It has been said the brothers of Jenni Rivera will be heading to Nuevo Leon today to identify her, and bring her or her remains to Los Angeles, California to rest in peace.
I leave you with a famous phrase I follow:
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
Jenni Rivera was a woman of strength and devotion for life, and because of this reason I truly identified myself with her and appreciated the “garras” to take a deep breath and move on to the next big thing. Nothing stopped her from living life to the fullest.
