As the daily food for my soul I read these inspiring words from a special gift given from a good friend and thought I’d share it – it’s a book called Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.
I want to know the Messiah —what his resurrection power is like and what it means to share in his sufferings by becoming like him in his death,
“Tomorrow. It’s a word that carries both doubt and potential.
None of us know how long we will live, so thoughts of tomorrow make us feel uncertain. But our heavenly Father created our earthy bodies with an eternity of relationship in mind. While our mortal bodies will deteriorate and wear out, God’s loving care daily renews our faith. As we rely on him and trust in the promises contained in his Word, our faith increases.
With faith, we an weather tradegy, suffering, and death. the trials we face pale in comparison to the glorious hope we have in God through Jesus. and eventually we understand that what tomorrow brings is unimportant because we know who brings tomorrow.”
“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Help me to look past my present situation, Lord, and into the glorious tomorrow with you.”
