As I paused and learned about Joan Rivers passing I stopped and thought how she left with her head up high. She was a hillarious, tough comedian who made many uncomfortable with her jokes and actions but had us laughing at all times. Known in the entertainment and fashion world, she always stood strong with her personality – who she was. Her identity is what empowered her to be a person of strong will as many would say.
I ran into this article titled “Joan Rivers, Comic, Dead at 81 – Six Serious Lessons from her Career” by Deborah L. Jacobs, which reaffirmed how she left nothing but her essence as Joan Rivers – the Woman.
This is just another reminder to be who you are and not who others want you to be. Don’t let others control you as you are one of a kind.
